DirecTV Status - June 2014
DirecTV is now established in our building and the kinks are being worked out.
If your current bill

Amtech should be called
when you want to add equipment to the account or if you are having a problem
with their receiver (1-888-680-5538).
Internet Status - June 2014
Amtech has rebuilt the ET Internet backbone including:
- Installed new backbone equipment (Which included but not limited to amps, attenuators, band blocker, splitters, diplexers, etc.)
- Replaced old equipment as needed in condos
- Tested connections to insure proper frequencies on DirecTV boxes and Cable modems for internet in each unit.
- Install Wireless Access points in each unit. (except for units that did not want us to touch their equipment) There is a least 2.
Passwords for Internet: Approximately 40 owners have not contacted Amtech for a password, so Amtech has assigned one for them. These will not be published. If you are one of these owners, you will need to contact Amtech directly for your password. Please call Amtech at 800-681-0924 ext 303 or email email@example.com (not the call center) during business hours to get the password that has been assigned to you for use by you and your family.
The most common problem some unit owners have been having is when either the internet or DirecTV has had stopped working, because the owners or renters have moved cables around in an attempt to fix it. Once the new routers are installed, these breaks in service should be resolved. Owners and renters are asked not to unplug anything and not to touch the router or cable modem plugins. So far, Amtech has not charged anyone for a service call when they have come in and found that owners or renters have unplugged the system or have plugged something else into the system, which caused the problems. Once the system has been fully implemented Amtech will charge $49.95 if they have to go out and replug the units back in or fix problems caused by users. Owners should leave the DirecTV plugged in or the unit may lose activation, and the Cable Modem should also stay plugged in.
